Salsa Garden

The #2 grandson and I are raising a salsa garden this year in a container. No room for onions but we're growing tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños. We've got tiny tomatoes and jalapeños on the vines now. (The jalapeño photo is a little blurry because the wind was blowing and it wouldn't stay still.)

The grandson loves - really loves - chips and salsa. His late mother started feeding it to him as soon as he had teeth, and he took to it like a duck takes to water. The only question now is whether the tomatoes will reach maturity before the grandson drowns the plants under a blast of high-pressure spray from the hose.

Stay tuned.
