Don and I loved your mother. We meet Bob and Evelyn before we knew you existed. They welcomed us into their home on our first trip down to Corpus when we were just feeling things out before we decided to make the move. They opened their arms to us and our two little girls. Evelyn hosted the baby shower for our third baby after the big move. They were both loving welcoming people who loved our LORD and served him to the best of their ability. We are sorry for your loss you will have our prayers as you mourn…God bless you and your family. Karen Lowrance

Yes. Beautifully Written.🤍

I am enduring a time of testing within my family. God leading me to reach out to your family was exactly what he wanted me to be a part of as he was calling her home to be with Jesus.

God strengthen me in this time by reflecting on the treasures, she & Bob planted in me that is helping me to continue to run the race.

He knews exactly what I needed and those Forever memories of God's Faithfulness & Fruitfulness through their earthen vessels that allows for me to go deeper into know Christ in Us the Hope Of Glory.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful post.

“They put skin on their faith by enlisting themselves in active service to higher things. “, wow. This stood out to me. I’m sorry for your loss. You write beautifully and I’m sure your parents are very proud. May you see them both again one day.

Mrs. Lowery was very nice and kind! I have admired her since I was a teenager. I look forward to seeing Mrs. Lowery in heaven. What sweet words about your Mom! Thank you for sharing the story about how your Mom and Dad met and their life together.

A beautiful tribute, and so very well written. You've refreshed my vocabulary and renewed for me the many things intention and intentional can mean. In these moments, I turn to one line in the Song of Solomon: "For love is stronger than death." Blessings to you and yours, Ysabel

So sorry to hear about your mom. I remember her as very regal and joyful. And, Keith, I didn’t know you all lost Mary or about her struggles. The articles/book you posted here brought back many memories. I vividly remember that big brown-eyed bundle of joy. I had to read through my tears. My heart goes out to you, Becca and kids. I believe your writing will help many people. I’m graduating in May as a biblical counselor, specializing in grief and loss. Would it be okay to printout the chapters and provide them to those in my cohort? Several have children themselves who struggle and I think your wisdom would be beneficial to them as future biblical counselors. God’s blessings!

Oh wow - had no idea you didn't know about Mary. You may not remember, but you were actually there and in the room at the time I took that video. Of course you can use any of my scribblings that you think might be helpful. Congrats on the upcoming graduation. That must be fun to contemplate.

Ha! When I saw the video (heartbreaking now knowing what happened!) I actually thought I “could’ve” been there but wasn’t sure of course.😉 Such sweet times. Thanks for letting me know that bit of history, and for use of the article. I had a call today in fact about a pastor and wife going through the same thing. I’m sure they’ll be blessed by it. Love and blessings to you and Becca

Loved knowing a little more about your mom and dad, Keith. I had no idea your mom was such a pioneer in cradle roll teaching! What a gift that was to our little ones!! A number of friends and I traded thoughts about Evelyn’s impact on us as young women, sitting in Bible classes with her, as she taught and shared her wisdom with us. I loved her and I liked her and I’m richer to have known her. I have a cookie recipe from her that is my favorite (and she told me once it was her favorite, too). You wanted some of whatever she brought to the potluck!!

I thought of this verse reflecting about your parents. They truly understood this scripture in Ephesians:

“…this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”

Your mom and dad were faithful to God- faithful leaders, faithful spouses, parents and grandparents, faithful to the Word and to the church, and faithful to steward the gifts given to them. God bless y’all, Keith.
