The answer is pretty obvious and related to my post from a day or two ago. There are a surprising number of evangelicals who are needy to be accepted by progressive media and culture. Bush was quick to leverage Roe as an issue while he was active in politics, but any possibility of reversal was always out of reach.  

Now that it actually has been reversed?

Crickets.  But he's Johnny-on-the-spot to accept leftist framing of current events and come before the camera, fingers pointing and in high dudgeon.
