What Remains to Conserve?

Angelo Codevilla is thinking through what it might take to re-establish an actual republic, at least for those who want one.  It's long but well worth reading.

The United States of America is coming apart. The only question is whether it finishes doing so to avoid violence, or as a result thereof.
